Artist's Comments

ok... well this is really just experimentation...

I still don't know why the horse doesn't quite fit...

critique?

grass: [link] by ~greenleaf-stock

ok that's it

edit:
Ok... so I took out light streaks, and desaturated the grass, and the horse. I also moved the horse closer in just a little for compositional purposes...

Thanks to =indecision-designs and ~Darn-Im-Frustrated for critique

I do like it much better this way :D

Ok well I'll write an official critique for this. Well I think I know why the horse doesn't fit. It's the yellow streaks that are throwing everything off. You have a blue-ish desaturated background and a nice clear day without a strong light source and then you added the yellow streaks. Get rid of those then see how it looks? Also, you could maybe desaturate the horse a bit more. I think then it will look just peachy :) Overall, the image isn't bad and I'm starting to like the blue-ish tones to things. You may also want to play with the saturation and coloring of the grass as well. Remember that everything in this image depends on this sort of blue (almost more washed out look) and you should try to blend it accordingly. Keep playing with the saturation (and get rid of the yellow streaks!). Good job.

Whoaaaa. I seriously love this! And I have absolutely no idea why the horse doesn't quite fit, but I see what you mean. Hmm...

i think the horse looks..cartoonish, compared to the background. though, it could be my computer, it does weird things to images. that's my only guess on that.

...I heard a neigh. Oh, such a brisk and melodious neigh as that was! My very heart leaped with delight at the sound.

if you're one of those strange americans that uses 'grey' instead of 'gray' copy this <3
:iconhorsecricket:
meh... maybe a bit. I did a lot of desaturating, and color changing so it probably lost a little bit of contrast, but it is still better than before.

Love it! The final editing definitely made a positive change in the pic (not that it wasn't freaking fantastic to begin with though) :D

Ahh yes, much better! It looks a lot more realistic without the light source. Good job with the edits and the picture overall :)
